Mit dem erweiterten Dynamikbereich (EDR) können die Details dunklerer oder hellerer Bereiche innerhalb des Objekts durch Schichtung der Bilder mit unterschiedlicher Belichtung hervorgehoben werden. Die erweiterte Tiefenschärfefunktion (EDOF) schichtet Bilder automatisch mit unterschiedlichen Bildschärfen zur Verbesserung der Tiefenschärfe auf rauen oder unebenen Oberflächen. Mit der integrierten Automatischen Vergrößerungsablesung (AMR) können Messungen schnell und einfach durchgeführt werden. Aufgrund des eingebauten Polarisationsfilters ist dieses Modell ideal für die Arbeit mit glänzenden oder reflektierenden Objekten wie Metall, Kunststoff, Glas, Schmuck, Elektronik, usw.
